ACTIVITY UNIT 2: Thinking and reflecting about successful school leadership. Work in groups.

  1. Read the seven strong claims about successful school leadership
  2. Rank them in order of importance from the most to the least important
  3. You are going to analyse the first three of your ranking. Read the article Leithwood, K.  , Harris, A. & Hopkins, D. (2008).  Seven strong claims about successful school leadership, School Leadership & Management: Formerly School Organisation provided in the platform.
  4. Draw some conclusions from your first three claims as a group in a decalogue, mind map, infographic, etc.
5.      Include your conclusions in your portfolio.

We have conclude that the three most important claims for us are:
Number 2: Almost all successful leaders draw the same repertoire of basic leadership practices.
Number 4: School leaders improve teaching& learning indirectly and most powerfully through their influence on staff motivation, commitment & working conditions.

Number 6: Some patterns of distribution are more effective than others.
